Imo I think the ending is perfect tho. Their problem is not miscommunication its falling out of love and taking someone for granted.

The way it's so close to reality, they're not going to be together for very long. It's the type of couple that keeps repeating the same cycle. Until either one finally has enough and finally breaks it or they just stay for the sake of habit and just cheat

I also thought that but he still comes across to me as a little condescending in regards to Suheyok coz he hasn’t reached his goals yet, he doesn’t change and I think that’s a reason why gave himself excuses to not see him. Jinwoo had to lose him to appreciate him again. I think the reason why the story ended there is that there’s no guarantee that Suhyeok will change or that Jinwoo won’t get tired of him again.
Ofc there's no guarantee, I'm just hopeful for both of them :D I think it's another reason why the author make it an open ending, so the reader can decide how they see the end as they see fit! Because to me that's how I see it (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
