As a victim of dv myself, I hope none of yall in the comments acting righteous about bianca not speaking up ever know anyone in a similar situation. These kinds of relationships are delicate and nuanced and being loud and self-righteous about it to a victim not ready to seek help can actually push them closer to their abuser or risk their life/safety. Having been in that headspace, when you are being abused regularly and reliant to your abuser, intervention can have the opposite effect and makes you defensive and ashamed. It’s a sensitive topic and can take years to get someone out of an abusive relationship and the most important component is the victim’s cooperation. Without that, you risk escalation of violence and isolation if the abuser feels their control slipping. It can be a slow, careful process to disentangle an abuser and their victim. Keeping an eye on the situation, being a safe space, and coming to the sister’s aide is unfortunately the best case scenario, even if it feels like she should be doing more.

Preach!! I cannot with the comments calling Bianca dimwitted or stupid or even accusing her of being an accessory to abuse by not confronting the abuse. Even when it was heavily implied she had asked about it and the reply she got was that Lucy "fell." It's like they've just skipped to the latest chapter because they don't know Bianca at all. Bianca suffered in her prophecy ("past life"), and even though, technically, it never happened, it didn't mean the suffering she endured just dissipated into the air. Bianca /knows/ how not to cross the line when it's clearly drawn. She /knows/ by the excuse she got from Lucy that Lucy didn't want to further talk about it. What she /didn't know/ was how Lucy got her bruises exactly, Bianca only knew it wasn't /from falling/.
