I actually want to think she's mentally ill. I couldn't really fathom the fact that she REPLACE her and even dared question if Serena is her daughter.

The guy is so unlucky with his wife imo. You know, if he ended up cheating with another woman, as long as she's more wise that his wife, I'll allow it. If only I can, I, myself, will introduce this man to a better wife material.
Maybe her being mentally ill could explain how she behaves in the beginning; when her daughter is nearly killed by a massive dog, defends herself and her response is oh well how could you hurt the poor doggy you should have dodged him. And then the other girl shows up and instead of comforting her own child, who just went through a traumatic event (as far as the mother was aware), and she just ditches her to comfort the new child (how did she get there anyway, you’d thing a ducal household is fenced in or something). Mother really is messed up in this story.
I do feel very sorry for the husband as well tho. He really does need someone else.
Right. Normally, a mother will ask her daughter first if she's fine. Second, that girl with a dog wandering inside their state should be question and even ended up in jail for trespassing and suspects her of assasination since her dog attack people. Though, I might be concern with the dog too but not the suspicious stranger coming suddenly.
I hope she doesn’t realize anything till it blows up in her face that her beloved adopted daughter was way more twisted than her actual daughter ever was and see her bio daughter happy with someone elsewas she lives with the regret of letting her bio daughter go ヾ(☆▽☆) but I feel like there’s still gonna be pain ahead like when the bullying is revealed the mother might not believe
That's possible and she will blame Serena instead. If that happens idk anymore smh.
I legit hoped the mother would, well, wake up but it looks like it’s too late at this point. I think even if Serena “gains feelings” at this point, and the mother realises what she’s done, Serena’s new understanding of “feeling” would keep her from forgiving her mother (at least I hope so, because bitch doesn’t deserve it).
I also can’t get over the fact that she just adopted a commoner without consulting her husband either and basically replaced her own child with her. Like wouldn’t she need a signature from her husband or something?? Especially considering that they’re a ducal household?
