
he got constant rejects in his area of work and spent years on a downhill slope? do you think cause his longterm friend shows back up in his life and cheers him on it'd be that easy to recover? sure, it's definitely hurtful to feel like you're talking to a wall when you try to give confidence to an individual, but he was going through a rough ass situation. his stubbornness and feelings of helplessness are valid and not easy to get under wraps. it takes time and patience, and if you don't have that patience in you with a depressed person then you are free to take a step back to prioritize yourself and your health. but do not by any means demean them.
Sorry, but Aki gets on my nerves with how down on himself he is. It's hurtful to have the person who loves you give you praise and to just shoot it down. I know being an artist is emotionally hard, but there's a limit to how much you can insist that you're not worthy of praise.
