exactly!!! He does not deserve to be assaulted and abused like this over something that he had no control over. He himself was still an underage teenager and did his best to protect him... and this is what he gets as a thank you.
The top probably got caught leaving or kept over because the other went missing. He probably did show up, just too late. I bet the reason he's lived such a shady life is because he never went back to the orphanage and has been looking for Mido since.
The situation is horrible, but the dude was just a kid. He was doing the best he could with the situation given. Now he's paying the price for not being as "cool" and all-knowing as the other one perceived him to be. The whole situation bites ass.
