Nah if you’re that eager to end your friend’s happiness and invalidate their feelings, you aren’t a good friend. And let’s not be delusional about the fact that eunjoon obviously has ulterior motives. He could have helped his friend and tried reasoning with him, and accepted jaewoo’s decision but instead he traumatized him and tore him away from his family because he thought he deserved jaewoo’s attention more.
Hear me out, if i was in eunjoons(mc's friend) position i may have done the same. Choosing to stay in a fictional world if your real life isnt that bad, is just delusional. He's right that none of it is real and that staying there would not go well longterm.
you arent the original character so the longer you stay the more you change the story and the harder it becomes to predict what will happen
more holes in your story will appear to others making it clear that you arent who you claim to be or you're a liar.
