I can recommend you one called "the story about you and me". It's not as dramatic as that one (although we have some similar because one of the protagonist is in bad terms with his family). I read it all very fast and felt happy reading it. And lonely when it ended

I kinda of don't like at the end of the road. I found it pretty predictable and bad written. But checkmate is really good tho. Checkmate is very interesting and very good, although is not a high school stories (the third one I did not read)
