I know people may not agree, and I know it's very unlikely, but I like gilles the Servant as the ML. He is sincere, kind, cute, and feels like an hot chocolate in a world of black coffee. The ML just seems too much for me, and I know that's the point of the story but still. I need a ray of sunshine for the ML, the southern duke golden retriever shot of expresso more than the dark romance cold black cat duke of the north, even if the former is in the form of a loyal servant.

Don't get me wrong I do love the story, but I love my baby Gilles and want him to be sincerely and wholly happy. I also want the FL to happy and stress free. I know the ML is going through it and loves the FL in his own toxic way, but compared to the sweetheart Gille is, it's hard not to compare. I hope for the best ending
