Is the love everyone is talking about, a synonym for jail, because that’s where ML should be in.

So everyone is gonna casually gaslight the other readers into believing that this is a good story because the ML is in “love” with Mc, so all of his actions are acceptable? Is the good story in the room with us? And is love, a synonym for jail because thats what ML should be in. What part of this story is good? Its trashy overused plot in bl. You might like this story, but whats wrong is just wrong. Don’t go defending horrible characters. Don’t glorify the story.

And why do i feel like i have to defend myself for not liking r@p€ stories. It has been so normalised, if we point it out… people are so quick to defend it. They tell others to stop reading it then, ofc they will. But we have to point out the wasted potential. Such good art with such lousy plot. What a disappointment.

I think you may be taking the word, “good” too seriously. When someone says ‘good story’ that does not automatically mean the story is happy, healthy, fluff. A good story could apply to a work that someone finds entertaining, or the way the author writes the plot/characters is well done. Just like how people can say a dark themed show or horror movie is good, they say that not because it’s healthy, but it’s entertaining/well-written.

A lot of the good story comments I see from novel readers are those that ACKNOWLEDGE the fact that mc and ml aren’t good people as well as the fact that clearly spoil the details of what the bad things they’ve done. They like the way that the author described the characters and how the plot is dark. It may be bad to you simply because you only like green flag stories, but you gotta realize that those who like dark stories aren’t always condoning what the red flag ML does. Sometimes dark story readers just find the characters/plot very interesting and more complex than basic easy to read fluff. Dark stories are those that actually make readers have theories and think more about what’s happening rather than just chilling and smiling at cute moments

Good story doesn’t have to be pleasant I understand. But this is not a good story. Its not well written. It just follows the trend

Well tbh idk, those who say it’s a good story are those that read the novel. The novel could be more detailed or get better written as the story goes on. It’s common for manhua adaptations to be more simplified compared to the novel since novels describe more and manhuas can’t put everything in

I didn't read the novel nor do I read spoilers but this story in my opinion is a great story. While I have a deep interest in dark, toxic themes (my preference and unapologetic about it), I particularly love the characterisation of the MC as it is well rounded. I love his perspective on life and I love the choices he makes as they are consistent with his personality. Additionally, the author does an awesome job of portraying the nonchalant, toxic theme that works well with this story. Totally my cup of tea and I am in right to the end.
