Majority of people who write bl are women, and they don’t realise it but they apply gender roles to the ukes and the semes. That’s why in a lot of bl (especially the older ones) ukes act almost feminine and are smaller and ‘innocent’, while seme’s are written to be over masculine. It’s really messed up
Ya I know but don't they understand how the world works or how a character behaves. You are writing a story at least make it believable or decent. Or are these writers virgins who never was in any relationship and just wrote down their fantasies...?
…you are completely correct to assume they’re virgins omfg a lot of yaoi is written by Japanese writers and statistically like a quarter of people over 40 there ARE virgins so yeah ur literally right, a lot of this stuff is quite literally just fantasies and really rEALLY innacurate and weird portrayals of relationships
Real life is different from media. So my expectations are not the same for either. When I read or look at comics/fics that are a “love story” between two characters I’m not into seeing them fuck others AT ALL. But that’s just my preference. It’s just a major turn off.
Shit that's news to me. I thought they were open abt sex, seeing they cheat openly. And also thought most of the teens would probably be experienced like the west.
They have one of the lowest birth rates in the world for a reason, no one there is doing it . I feel that the teeny tiny percentage that are aren’t used to seeing healthy depictions of relationships which I guess is why the cheating culture is so bad, it’s probably also m why in a lot of manga the relationships can sometimes just be..really weird.
