honestly dan is the opposite of an idiot for not believing the whole medicine thing. who tf is dumb enough to believe that there's a "special medicine from overseas" that can cure an old ass dying grandma who has late stage cancer?? at her age and stage there is literally nothing that can cure her. especially after the doctors told dan she's way too old for any medicine to work on her anymore.
and dan is an idiot for turning down the offer just bc of jaekyung tbh, but dan did it for many reasons i'm sure. like for example he still owes jaekyung the debt he paid off for him, or maybe dan is just loyal and isn't gonna drop him so easily, or maybe he sensed the gym's coach was saying some suspicious stuff and did not wanna be involved in their fucked up shit.
