I do agree with some of what you're saying. I feel it wasn't enough. It's a make-or-break situation. So, ifJaeKyung acts the fool after the fact, he can't question Doc Dan's loyalty.

Never take your eyes off your surroundings. The real mistake is Doc Dan never saying he took a meeting. It won't matter the reason he gives. It's a trust thing and by keeping what will be seen as a secret he deserves what happens next.
