this taught me more abt animals than any teacher in skl ever did also incoming rant abt the musk deer
also istg if my mood was like any worse than it was now then i wouldve bawled like half of the time coz the MUSK DEER KNE WAS SO SAD
like the main thing was, unlike the serval, the musk deer never really ‘moved on’ nor really got a happy ending. perhaps he could have, i literally don’t know but from the way they ended his little arc was with a heavy sense of regret and longing.
they never broke up officially and im pretty sure he stated that he still liked the serval however was just too afraid to face him.
though their relationship was going downhill at the time i think that they could have worked it out in the end eventually.
the musk deer loved him dearly yet let him go as he saw the serval happy with the lion. i think that was really upsetting yet very commendable. commendable for letting him go, upsetting for you not getting your own happy ending.
though if you think about it in a good light, he’s probably content, happily raising kids and getting along. but then again, he is on the run majority of the time…
regardless of what happens as they were all mainly open endings, though some were more or less pretty solid. i’d like to imagine that the musk deer comes to terms with himself and well, i guess move on? he seems to be very stuck jn the past and “im really sorry i’ll make it up to you by raisjng kids rhat look like you in your absence”
