i don't really think there is any deep meaning behind the two different endings. the first one was the one where tachibana died, but it was implied that the two spent their entire lives together. the second end just showed the two of the living their old age together in peace. you can take what you want from either ending, but i think the mangaka did it just to give closure and make us (the readers) happy. no matter the ending- we know that both of them spent their whole lives together and i think that is the point of both endings
Can someone explain how there were two different endings and what each one was and meant?
