well nobody's sexuality was confirmed, but since the relationship is between 2 girls, it's indeed a lesbian relationship :)

This is why we have terms like wlw (woman loving woman) so we don’t use specific terms to describe the sexuality of a relationship! Because they haven’t been confirmed but we can infer that she’s bi or pan, because she initially fell for her thinking she was a guy, that’s why it’s super incorrect to call it a lesbian relationship.

there's also a possibility shes not bi/pan and is a lesbian w comphet. i dont think its wrong to call it a lesbian relationship.

We’re getting into speculation territory when the entire set up of the story was on the basis of her crushing on a guy, to find out it’s a girl in her class and actually is okay with it. By doing this we’re doing the exact act of forcing our understanding of sexuality onto a person, regardless of fiction, because it’s easier to call it a lesbian relationship. That’s why it’s wrong to do it, and why I will stand by this.

Saying it may be comphet negates the foundation of the story itself. A comphet queer wouldn’t go out of their way to pursue someone and go for as long as they did. Call it wlw, that tag exists for a reason.

We also don’t know if the other character is gender non-conforming if this is the direction of speculation we wanna head, and by calling them a lesbian would also be conforming them into a gender.

i get ur point but bc theyre fictional characters people will have their headcanons. imo it does no harm to call them lesbians. fine if they are fine if theyre arent. forcing labels onto real people does a lot of harm tho and thats where i draw the line.

honestly tho not tryna argue bc at the end of the day people arent going to stop calling them lesbians and youre gonna continue to think thats wrong which is also fine.

also a lot of comphet queer DO pursue straight relationships for a long time. its not unheard of. happens a lot to lesbians actually.

(thooo i do have a little question. how does lesbian conform them to a gender? even if the character is gnc they can still be a lesbian. also wouldn't calling them sapphic be better if you dont want to force a label or force gender conformity? isnt wlw the same when it comes to forcing them to conform to a gender? i mean gnc and nonbinary lesbians exist but wlw quite literally means woman loving woman so isnt wlw the label thats actually forcing a gender to be conformed to? imo lesbian is a lot more flexible w gender where as wlw is less and sapphic is a better descriptor for their relationship.

frankly, this is so silly lol. and i think a lot of people are just calling them lesbians bc they see them as lesbians for representation. i really do understand where youre coming from but god, i do love calling them lesbians, it hurts no one. like i could go crazy and say maybe idk they're bi4bi girlies or not even girls at all who tf knows lol i turn my head and they could be t4t trans guys thatd be cool too. i just like queer people whether theyre lesbians or not falling in love having fun being happy)
