Thank you!
I get frustrated of that defense when it's so clear the message they are portraying and internalizing is, "if you are hot, all is FORGIVEN".
What if the author drew this fiction of psychlogical study/ exploration to let ourselves psychologically study ourselves?!
MIND=BLOWN
YESSSS THANK YOU! GOSH
Well, I agree the assumption is unwarranted. And if you want to disguss Sangwoo's faults, I'm all for that too. Personally, I think he's the type of smiling BSing character I hate the most (next to Kuze in Caste Heaven) but I like the story too. And I understand some readers really like Sangwoo, and that's okay too.
I think for some reason the emotions run high on this and related issues in the fandom, so I think insults just make it worse. I don't see why people can't enjoy the story in different ways.
I don't think there's a need to clamp down on this level of shit talking since the other side also shit talks about people concerned as well with dismissive remarks. It's the comment section. Anything goes. Let shit talking reign
A lot of Sang Woo fans think that if we hate the ship it automatically means that we hate the manhwa. Wrong. I love it, I'm addicted to it. And I love that it doesn't try to glorify the relationship or glorify Sang Woo - unlike what his stupid fans are doing.
And secondly, please cut the crap about how it's only fiction and therefore we should be ok when you worship a character who breaks legs, strangles, drowns and slices and humiliates. And that too, a character you worship only because you find him handsome. If he were ugly you wouldn't ship this pairing and you wouldn't squeal over Sang Woo.
If anything, the real fans are the ones who recognise how disgusting this ship is and that this relationship is meant to be a study in psychological horror, not something to be avidly shipped.
