Growing up in a family with no respect for boundaries, I can say it’s common for ppl to think it’s ok to do that, unfortunately :/

Wel I also didn't grow up from a family that respect boundaries, but l'll always smack my brother everytime he barges into my room. And he also realizes that if he was staying at someone else's he wouldn't do that
