Yeah, he as absolutely no finesse unlike some of the other players. Also, he does some pretty dumb things, but is a great tactician. If he used his skills perfectly and intelligently he’d be unstoppable no matter who challenged him. Especially someone like that idiot he saved that got him expelled. That guy is a goddamn moron. He goes out of his way to hurt anyone he deems beneath him just because of the bullying he suffered. Makoto went through the same thing, but he moved on and just ignores the bullies when he’s confronted because he respects the power he’s been given. Too bad that idiot, Izumin is about to learn the wrong way that you don’t mess with someone like Makoto.
It really shows us that due to the fact that mc just overpowers all the dungeon encounters with brute strength that he is missing in the department were people despite being weaker still beat their opponents thro quick thinking and strategies and smart use of their skills
