This chapter just made me realize

Why does she need to make him king? The true heir is already a mage, so why not just support him? I realize our male lead is the most powerful mage, but he could still work for the king

Is it because this is a story and the only tre happy ending is becoming royalty?

    Maybe she can't trust the legit heir cause he was Susan's ML in the first timeline? She was hesitant with bringing him to their cause.

    It's clear he has some yandere tendencies, or at least very manipulative tendencies. Like, I'm pretty sure he's responsible for the monster attack

    I think it's because Susan was the empress in the previous life and not the legitimate heir, so her idea was to find someone similar to replace Susan and thus another powerful mage.
