I don't think him losing the fight will humbled him like you think. Jaekyung has a trigger and it will most likely trigger him instead.
The way to humble him is for Dan to break his heart and leave. I want them both to glow up and Jaekyung to grow up.
If you look he was bullied when he was younger. Maybe his defeat will have him to deal with his past after he lashes out and that could be at Dan.
