i mean the author never really cared aboit Cain, they couldn't even make them their own interests and likes or dislikes, his whole character was about his past life and Jooin. so i like i get thag its hard giving development to a character that is like the least thought out in the whole story lol. bad writing at its finest
I still can't get over the fact that this chapter was entirely unnecessary. Everyone's happy that Cain found himself, I get it, but that's not quite right. If that really was the case then he wouldn't give Jooin so much credit or at least recognize his own achievements as his own person. He haven't let go of his past entirely and is still stuck, even calling Jooin his "kind master" until the very end and missing him actively thinking every memory he makes or trip he takes on his journey would be better with him by his side, which is contradictory with him allegedly breaking free from what was binding him to their so called destiny. Even if it's supposed to be fanservice to Cain stans, it's a really disappointing and senseless conclusion to his arc... or at least poorly written with poorly chosen sappy monolog.
