Disappointed but not surprised

Reading this novel really got me thinking about RL rapists and how they get away with doing such a disgusting act just because they are "family" or have connections that let them get away with it. Happy for the ML and MC for finding a better future for themselves and moving on with the past behind them.

In common life, even tho it's literally a crime, rape victims are ashamed to even report the assault or have too much kindness in their bones to event make a report and let their assaulter/s rot in jail.

It's sad being in that situation. I always think about people's perceptions about me so if i were in a situation like yuzu's, i probably would be scared to open up and make a report. I just wish evil people doesn't exist.

Honestly, sometimes its not just about being kind or whatever to their assaulter. Sometimes, its about just wanting those assholes to be out of their lives as soon as possible. Taking evidence, making a report, going thru the whole legal process can be extremely stressful and taxing. The victims would need to ||repeatedly|| explain and relive their experience(s) for weeks, months, maybe even years, depending on how long the legal process takes.

Sometimes, its simply better to screw them over once, then cut them out completely. That'll be harder on yuzu's case because its his brother, but really. Especially with someone like with yuzus personality, leaving the brother alone is one of the best solutions for the victim's mental health

It’s really sad but you are right like some people are just to kind. It sucks and makes me so mad. And I think it’s also that the whole process takes so much time a lot of victims done want to have to constantly relive or be reminded of what happened which is so sad
