Yeah… it crossed the line. Aeroc should have just been sent to jail, he didn’t need to suffer like that… if you read the novel vol 2 onwards isn’t painful.. but it connects the dots why all that misery happened. Why the cruelty went too far…

She’s so good! I cried like a baby reading vol 1. She knows how to make you cry and happy! Her writing was also enchanting, you’ll keep reading it! The books how they slowly connect to each arc was really well executed! And I never hated and love characters as much as Aeroc and Clough!
But I really really hate Clough to the point I made a fanfic just to break them up hahahha. Stay married to Rapiel, dude! I’ll find Aeroc a better partner! My baby needs a different ML

He didn’t deserve it. It went too far, did he had to break Aeroc to that point. He should have just put him in jail instead of throwing him to the wolves…
When Aeroc was trying to kill himself, he got him back just to destroy him.
It’s really fricked up… Clough’s problem was he was obsessed with Aeroc from the beginning. He married Rapiel who looks like him, but that desire didn’t go away so he antagonized Aeroc by repeatedly mocking him. He pushed him to do that crime! And then he uses Rapiel death as a gateway to overturn the table and do what he wants to Aeroc… the crappy thing is the imprint was established even before their first born. So this whole hell was Clough’s fault
It’s really dark… his obsession with Aeroc was the cause of that imprint, but he was so angry with that obsession. He punished Aeroc for it…

Yeah… but it’s more fucked up in this book. It only affects alphas. There are several ways to establish an imprint, first is spending a long time with one omega, this wasn’t the case for Aeroc and Clough since the relationship lasted less than a decade.
The second one, the first theory is, the repeated pregnancy. Imprinting is a result when a pregnant omega is calling for the protection of their alphas. This was actually my first hunch, because Aeroc was always anxious during his pregnancy so it may have happened after his second baby. But I was wrong… it’s the third one.
The third one, is Clough putting himself in a relationship that caused him mental pain that didn’t heal. If you reread season 1, his eyes turned violet after Aeroc’s first attempt at suicide. So it means the imprint was established even before the birth of their first kid. His obsession with Aeroc from the beginning, he chose a wife who looks like him and antagonized him because he desired him. After Rapiel’s death that obsession took a twisted turn… isn’t it weird he spent years planning how to isolate Aeroc and turn him into an omega to give birth to his kid (that’s weird conclusion to revenge)
[side note: Aeroc in all the other arcs was going to mutate from an alpha into an omega because of his contact with a dominant alpha which is Clough. Medical mutation. Aeroc doesn’t have a knotting system also. So maybe by instinct Clough knew that Aeroc was going to be an omega…]
The obsession got worse… I think after obtaining Aeroc and finally doing what he wanted… it tied them both together. When Aeroc was taken back in the estate, Clough was having this imaginations that Aeroc was still this arrogant man who needs to suffer… it’s the imprint screwing his head. The violence got worse… and his obsession to keep impregnating Aeroc continued.. he knew Aeroc was going to die from it but he kept pushing.
If he kept Aeroc by his side the imprints effect wouldn’t have been bad, but because Aeroc was in the cabin. It got worse…
Aeroc would have had power if he rejected Clough. Because an imprinted omega rejection causes an alpha to vomit blood.. the stomach pains from the pressure. Unfortunately the years of torture made him brainwash himself that he deserves to be beaten, rape and so on… to be treated like trash.
After Aeroc died.. the imprint started to do its worse. That’s why Clough was hallucinating about the light in the cabin.. why he hurt his son. The imprint makes you violent… and you need a sacrifice to appease it, Aeroc was that sacrifice when he was alive and his tombstone when he died.

The author needs to be jailed, I'm bawling my eyes out at 3 AM because of this. Why does he have to suffer that much ??
