I think that how ml see mc is similar to lwj seeing weiying, it's not about the body, more like the soul in it, so I don't think he is in love with the cover, this ml see some similarities with the mc, like he searched for some similar trace even before he knew what happened to mc, so I guess, even if mc did leave the body, I don't wanted to be mean but I guess even ml will leave him be, this mc knew that and feeling happy, but at the same time, I guess he felt bad for the body, especially when he knew this body also goes thru bad times often and another lonely person ┗( T﹏T )┛
