that is like the worst argument u could make as to why we should complain about an author downplaying rape . we’re consuming and leaving our thoughts for people who are considering reading something ON THIS SITE. we’re not review bombing it on the author’s publication site. I would only say it’s wrong if we read this illegally and then gave the artist shit for it on their official review pages bc that’s not fair.
sorry i don’t like random rape scenes and the character isn’t being punished for it. if this was a rape comic and i wanted to read rape then u could make the argument that this is fiction. but i’m reading a comic about two OTHER characters who mostly have a cute relationship but then this other random guy basically gets rewarded for sexually assaulting our main character. it’s random, badly written and disgusting that the author doesn’t give him shit for it.
dont use the “u don’t pay don’t criticize” argument when quite literally everybody on this site is doing the same thing.
