Someone said I don't think the director dress as a woman by choice (choice in the sense of like, bc they feel like a woman). You can see how uncomfortable the director got when that customer started talking as if they were a woman (praising them for being a woman with a career an such). The fact that the director hasn't correct anyone calling them a woman, I think is more like a "let them believe whatever they want" attitude. As I would really LOVE to see a trans character in japanese media, is very unlikely, and I think the story will go into like a trauma with the sister of the director or something like their parents make them dress like a girl (very common trope in manga, more so than actually having a trans character<3), so yeah... I think probably they would identify as a man in the end.
