I dislike both the leads. The ML just seems to treat the uke as a convenient sex toy who gave him a child and is of "use" now. He is condescending, controlling and overall an asshole to him. The uke is a doormat who just thinks negatively of himself, looks down on himself, doesn't stand up whenever something shitty happens to him and goes along with the forceful decisions other people (read ML) make for him.
It's the case of a person who likes to step on doormats and the doormat who likes to be stepped on smh
