I believe that he was in a relationship with a guy (in the photo he is next to someone that seems a guy) that was afraid of their relationship being discovered. He says in the last bit “i’m jealous, he isn’t afraid of showing the relationship”. So he is also gay, but his boyfriend (ex-boyfriend ?) made him keep his hair long so that people wouldn’t know that he is a guy.

I think he(?) Is someone who hides the fact that he is a man with his long hair(?) I think he's pretending to be a girl or maybe just doesn't bother to correct people he isn't a girl? His hair is long prob because of a promise or maybe something significant from his past?
