What? Aren't they both male? And different species too?? Yellow
Well they are probably losely from the same family but not the same species (something like horses and donkeys) so they can get puppies but that doesn't mean the puppies will be able to reproduce (just like mules and hinnies, they might be sterile or near sterile)

And for the male part ... idk lol I actually didn't think about it until Asuka put that message here lol just like for the insects, arachnids and birds there, I didn't really think about gender when reading about the wolves xD I was not ready for any romance between any of the animals looool
I thought they were born in the spring? (Maybe I read a different version though.) Ka-Blam
Now that you mentioned it. Yeah! I think that I messed up the sequence of events. Koa and the others females got preg during the winter and had their babies in the spring. Thanks!

That was unexpected in the WN too. Until that part, there was no sign of romance between them. By the way, Koa is a female.

I think that the logic is something like wolfs and dogs. They are considered different species but they are genetically so similar that it’s possible for them to have fertile offsprings.
At this part of the WN, Koa and Chai already had their puppies. Is it different in the LN?
