Seme's criminal is using his son as an accomplice. It's actually unfortunately far more common than you think. Criminals using children as a front/accomplice.

In our area, a guy had coached his young son (like 5-7 yrs old) to accompany his mother who worked as a maid and take a recon of the house. Then when the owners went on a vacation or something, he would have the kid break in through a window and open the door for the guy and his buddies to rob the place. If they were caught, the kid and his mom were the ones in trouble.
