Nice take, I actually thought about that one too but that would've made more sense if Takashi appeared after Kouki was questioned by the police (since he only knew the incident by then)

Now I can't stop crying
But I still think Takashi was just kouki's imaginative construct to cope with his broken state while he tries to manage overwhelming emotions and his last place of solace and comfort
