After rereading, both of them have flaws n traumas tbh.
Lee doesn't want marriage and is scared of commitment because he grew up seeing his mom sacrificed so much for love just to be abandoned and left alone. But he has lots of love to give (take from his mom), can be seen through how he cares about morality, justice and well being of other people. BUT again, he always has 1 foot out whenever he's in romantic relationships, always expecting to leave right away.
Caesa, he literally raised himself lmfao. Imagine born rich but your mom was just a tool to give birth and for political power then she's just non existence to you. Then your dad let you fetch and raise yourself your whole life as a test because he only sees you as a successor and a tool to maintain bloodline n generational power. He was literally only taught to kill and be a perfect mafia, NOT TO BE A HUMAN. So Lee coming to his life, the 1st genuine person ever to him, he's scared of losing him because in his world, what's the % that he'd be able to meet someone like Lee again? And he obviously can see how avoiding Lee can be so he wants more commitment with him as much as possible.
And you can see a change here, before Caese would hurt Lee physically to keep him by his side, now, he rather hurt himself so he can keep him using psychological manipulation cz he doesn't want to see him get hurt.
