He doesn't have his previous/future memory. He doesn't remember anything about what will happen. Even klopp don't, he just see some fragments of the previous life as a dream.

In the novel it was heavily emphasized that nobles are not heavily involved in managing their finances, even Aeroc’s dad had his trusted advisor but the man resigned after the dad’s death. So while learning to manage his estate and his obligations as Count, he’s suddenly has to learn how to manage the finances as well.

And honestly he was so broken by the end of his life, every opportunity OG Clough can beat him… and the repeated births made him heavily dependent on medication. I doubt he would remember which scammer was which.. what bad investment was bad… he was so far gone by the end of book 1 and after dying he find himself back at that meeting… like he must probably tried to rationalize everything first. To add he still has nightmares of his past life, so waking up and composing yourself… how can we expect a lot from Aeroc?

I blame the dad more. If he had taught Aeroc better, especially with managing the finances directly instead of letting others do it. Maybe his son wouldn’t have been a victim to vultures. Instead of just telling him, throw soirees and charity parties.. show the people this is what being Teiwind is. If he didn’t throw those parties he wouldn’t have drained his family fortune in a few years or had been buried in debt :(

Clough won’t hurt him in this arc… but you can see the fear when Clough sometimes rough with his actions, he just grabs Aeroc without thinking (but that’s the influence of the imprint so Clough is easily irritated by anything Aeroc does)
