Exactly. I can imagine it is really hard for him to let go of his grandma, because she is the only family member left for him, but like…this poor old woman is just suffering.

Dan needs to face reality and let go. The prognosis for stage 4 cancer is abysmal. The fact that granny’s not responding to conventional treatments already should be an indicator of that. He will lose her. The man that he loved does not reciprocate, and even mocks him for the idea. He needs to face these facts, accept them, and move on. It sucks that he has to go through this, but it is what it is
