I didn't read the whole thing , but about the first one , she can control the poison through ki ,her father said it , that she must attain total control over it through ki as to not harm people unconsciously by her breath ,tears and other bodily fluids , she can switch it on and off i guess (our op mc must have mastered it in a few days if not hours or minutes)
As someone who has reread this story multiple times I can clarify!
1. @Ban Yeo dan's a cutie already explained it.
2. When the sailors finally regained their sanity, their last wish before losing their free will was to burn everything and kill themselves before they could hurt their loved ones. And since it's murim I'm assuming honoring a friend's last wish is like a cardinal rule from what I know about this genre regardless of the pain or suffering they might experience. And if it makes you feel any better, they probably stopped feeling any pain once the fire burned all of their nerves but it still must've been painful. I guess that's how determined the sailors were...and I respect that determination
3. I think Gunwoo is probably the best ML I could possibly find in media. (I'll go on a little tangent: He's big and muscular but he can still show his shy and sweet side without feeling the need to be all macho and hide his feelings. He had a crush on Haewon at first sight like any other male in a romance trope, but he quickly learns about her strength and respects her and even wants to spar with her. And best of all is that he got a looking glass so that he could TALK WITH HER. CAN WE FIND ANY OTHER ML THAT IS WILLING TO COMMUNICATE WITH THE FL REGARDLESS OF TIME OR DAY AND IS EMOTIONALLY AVAILABLE ENOUGH TO SHOW CONCERN WHEN SHES UPSET AND LISTEN???) --ahem and about Hwi (blondy) he doesn't seem to like Haewon romantically, at least from what I can see. But ever since he's seen her honorable behavior towards everyone around her (including the people who tried to kill her). He becomes fixated on the idea of becoming her people and isolating her from Gunwoo because that would interfere with his ideation of her. He was surrounded by the most toxic people. His father is a selfish scumbag who treated him like shit and his sister was possessed by a psychotic demon who is treating him in a similar way but he just represses himself because no one respects his opinion. But he hopes that Haewon can make him feel respected and human.

OK so,
First of all... if her blood, sweat AND breath is poison... how is she and lil googoo gon do the dirty... I mean her breath is poison that means that well her cave heat is too same for them juices.
Second of all... during the chapter where them dudes become zombiefied and then got their sanity back after some cochineal shit was sprayed on them then burned themselves... wouldn't they have had an easier death if they were just slashes in half? Did they really need to burn themselves? Why did heewon and googoo act like they were gonna go depression mode if they slashed some dudes who needed the release from life, when they had and will of course continue to kill many more people, it's MURIM we ain't in our peaceful first world country no more. I mean comemon... burning to death is one of the worst executions one can get and they, who were innocent had to go through that shit voluntarily. Pshhh, a slash would be quicker and easier for everyone.
Thirdly... what's up with all these guys liking the mc, it ain't even a sweet type of shit. The only one that I find satisfying is how namgoongy seems so regretfully enamoured in a jealousy pit... there's no need to add blondy... blondy deserves... better.
And last but not least... it's blondy. Blondy, with his gorgeous blonde wavy long shiny luminous hair and his pretty cerulean blue eyes. He's the most beautiful character in this whole damn story and they give him the most saddest and cruel backstory... and they even make him suddenly like some girl that smells like apricots? Bishhh he deserves a pretty, single girl who'd cherish him as much as he cherishes her. He deserves someone that can heal him and make him forget. I just don't understand the logic of giving such a clearly messed up backstop to a gorgeous man that ends up liking the mc just for the sake of liking the mc. He'd be better off with the other girl whose a sword genius or some shiz (which btw... she's pretty overpowered since she just killed the last General in one slash. She KO'd that shit AND she's the prettiest girl too? Goddamn I wanna see their babies).
Anyway I have tried to remember all these points throughout the story while ready these 92 chaps so now I can finally R.I.P like blonde's happiness.
