Slight spoilers.. Well. I understand your anger, but he doesn’t like that pink bitch either. That pink bitch made him want to kill himself. But this was not a matter of him helping/not helping. He wanted to leave their business to them, and he wanted Hestia and him to live their lives without caring about them. He is indifferent and nonchalant towards them. He stresses this point in the novel, how desperately he just wants to ignore them. So he did this final “favor” (which I wouldn’t say is a favor… because they’ll get a divorce eventually.). Cael knows their little castle will collapse eventually, and he does not want any part of it. I personally believe that he, as victim, has that right to choose.
That’s a good take, I didn’t look at it like that. I’m personally on team hestia just straight rooting for their downfall, however you’re right Kael has the right to choose as the victim. He doesn’t have choose bitterness.
