Honestly, they do. I had an experience when I was around 8. I went to a church with my older brother and older sister, and they used to come up and pick us up in a white bus on the first day, apparently. They asked us, Have we been baptized before? And I said no, which I don't remember saying. It was in the middle of the night that they took us into the back of a church and into these locker rooms, making us change into big white t-shirts. And then they took us into the church hall to baptize us. It's a core memory I have of church because it was so strange. And my brother and sister weren't with me, because they said they had already been baptized. Also churches at night are one of the scariest things ever.
Also for context about the big t shirt part we had on shirts but no underwear on after we did the baptism, they took us to the back and we changed back into our clothes and then they took us home also they split up the older kids and younger kids most of the time and the only ones getting baptized, were the little kids.
I think his parents are in a cult.
