Not to kink shame, but thats all there is to it. A fetish. there are numbers of those who gets off of rape but wont actually commit the crime nor wish to be a victim of it, in real life, it all boils down to their mental state and if the person can trully separate between fiction and reality.
If so, i dont see any problems with them continue enjoying their kinks, and those who enjoys it but also have enough self awareness would know better than to call it "romantic". BUT i do hate it when BL works keep reusing the same tired ol rape trope and make the most nonsense out of it.

I know it's bad, I don't support rape or anything. But ngl this manwha was kinda good, not in a romantic way of course that would be really fucked up but yeah i really think that it was best that he was actually alive to prolong his suffering but it's kinda sad that sheep mask died:(
