I think raven would make for a better ML. Its like when a ML has a higher status they basically do everything for the FL. Whats the point of a FL who contributes nothing to a relationship? Why did he fall in love? It won't be a problem here but it is easy to fall prey to such a trope and make our FL obsolete. With Raven it feels more balanced as though they support each other. As though they both contribute to the relationship and rely on EACH OTHER rather than one side dominating the relationship.
