I enjoyed it. The mangaka did a great job portraying the depth of Shiori’s emotions, the art supported this and the overall unsettling atmosphere of the manga as well. It felt much more psychological than a normal romance manga. Although love was a strong theme consistently present in the plot, ultimately it was the story of their family, and the feelings of the side characters too, not just the main couple which added the dimension and realism to this manga.
There are people who read only to see an ending which they like, and people who read to engage in the story overall. It’s kinda like the movies which do well in the box office versus what does well in the film festivals. I’m the latter, and so is this manga.
