That’s not actually true, you didn’t read till the end, Desharow has a blood of someone else that If I remember correctly is actually his relative. I think it was said merman’s release spores and the ones that have those spores are their mates, so it is kind of messed up but Desharow isn’t related to Agares and there’s actually almost at the end of the story a conflict with the real mate of Agares.
Oh, okay. I never finished it because it got weirder and weirder from chapter 60 or 70 onwards. I'll probably never finish it either, as it even got a bit too cringe for me.
Tbh I do not recommend finishing it too. Blood relative of MC wants to fuck him, he gets killed for some time, later on MC comes back just to get treated like trash. Not to mention the conflict with Agares's mate and Agares turning evil. It has HE, but it’s not satisfying.
Does Agares cheat on Desharow?
It does look like this but it is said that he doesn’t cheat. However, it is iffy, since he is very attracted to his mate, he in the end rejects him though

Agares is actually like the stepfather of Desharow, as they share the same bloodline (as far as I can remember). Desharow was quite ill as a baby and Agares blood(I'm not quite sure about this part) saved him(his uncle asked Agares for the blood). At first, Agares didn't want anything from Desharow either, as he saw him more or less as a "successor". But he had also said in the novel that it drove him crazy how little attention he got from Desharow, because Desharow had idolized this mentor (forgot his name) so much. Over time, Agares realized that Desharov was so much more to him than a "successor".
