While megumi’s suffering isn’t as constant and hard as itadori’s with how different their personalities are I think it’s just a matter of itadori having more willpower than megumi. Anyone else in itadori’s position would have wanted to end it all if they experienced that much tragedy in one year but itadori lived on bc he was selfless and thought of others before himself. Megumi on the other hand never had such big ideals and only kept living on like that bc he wanted to protect his sister and ppl like her. Now that she’s gone he lost his anchor and has no reason to live while itadori still has everyone he wants to protect which is why he won’t give up. The ironic thing is rn it seems megumi is the anchor who’s forcing itadori to keep pushing forward bc he wanna save him. If megumi dies, i wonder how itadori will react.
Yeah, different characters are bond to react and act different depending of the situation, it's just that the contrast between those 2 in that position is quite notable. And well "still has everyone he wants to protect" lmao that "everyone" keep getting smaller with each chapter so far, but yeah, I agree that the current anchor for Itadori's sanity seems to be Megumi rn. Can't wait to see how this ends up
fs he didn’t suffer the most but he physically cant endure it as well as other characters can, like itadori for example… their mindsets are extremely different though, we’ve seen megumi constantly willing to throw his life away and we’ve seen itadori persisting and surviving through tragic situations, and we know that his sister was pretty much the biggest motivation for his life, and he had to take hers. i think you do bring up good points though, this is js my own take on it
ive seen ppl getting mad ab megumi not wanting to live but u gotta understand bro was forced to kill his sister, p much his main reason for moving forward and from what we can tell his mentor and benefactor too who hes known since he was like... 6 years old... yeah i wouldnt wanna live either
