I remember reading this story on the official site and actually PAID for it because I thought it would be good. You can’t imagine how distraught I was when I saw the trash ending. Someone put the tragedy tag PLEASE.
Anyways, this story had potential in the beginning. It was one of those stories where I felt like I could predict the events as there were many hints on how the direction of the story would go. However, it’s another disappointment that feels like the author either rushed it or was pushed to change it part way through. The reason why I say this is because the 2nd prince genuinely showed jealousy when FL was close to others. It showed like he cared. Until suddenly the story made it so that was nonexistent?? The story went down an upsetting path and had an ending that didn’t even have good reasoning.
Onto the characters:
The 2nd prince and princess are garbage. The 2nd prince was so manipulative and ready to take the 1st prince’s place as well as everything from him- but he didn’t have any reasoning?? He even showed that he liked his brother the most, so it made no sense. Even in the end, the 2nd prince’s bullshit explanation for why he did all this was: I dunno. He got FL imprisoned and got his brother to step down from the throne only for him to help them escape. What was the point of all the shit you pulled? WTF. Bad writing to me. He got his most important person and the person that loved him the most, killed. It seems to me that the author didn’t know how to write his character or his purpose. The character can’t even be called complex, it’s just a character that the author wrote while thinking: “idk wtf I’m doing.”
The princess was an annoying af character. At first she was pitiful, but then she started being all “I’m the victim!!” She got jealous and blamed EVERYTHING on the FL despite the fact that the FL did nothing. The 1st prince liked the FL one-sidedly and yet, she blamed the FL instead. She was worried about the 1st prince cheating when it was actually her that actually cheated. She was a truly useless and dumb fuck of a character to the end. Congratulations sis, you get to live the rest of your life as a lie. Your new husband doesn’t even like you fr.
1st prince was in the wrong for liking someone other than his fiancée as well as approaching the girl he liked. Despite this, he’s one of the most redeemable characters and nicest character as he sacrificed himself.
FL just suffered the entire time. Like she came onto land just to suffer.
