It's just perfect!!! Perfect story perfect art, just amazing. And I believe that it still holds the title of the highest ranked Yaoi on Ba..ka.. Up..da..te (don't know if I'm allowed to write it as one word)
Could this be found under another name? The one I know under that name has a very different story than the one you described.

I think you are talking about yuuutsu na asa , Hana wa saku ka is a different work by same mangaka and I agree yuuutsu na asa did it better with realistic ending.
Hahaha yeah I realized my mistake later, but that one is a legend for sure
I enjoyed it, but truth be told Hana wa Saku ka did it better
