Yeppp, 38 is pretty okay for a slow burn (of course, this'll also depend on how many chapters we have left imo). When you compare it to something like "My In-Laws Are Obsessed With Me", where the romance gets to slowly come through in trickles and makes proper advances around chapters 70-100, this is super short :'D plus this story focuses on their developing relationship and characters, and takes its proper time and pacing with those, making it def feel worth it and not prolonged for "just because".
I'm a shoujo veteran so the slow burn doesn't phase me, I'm surprised so many people are complaining. 38 chapters isn't that long?
