it’s not that hard to sympathize if you consider the fact he’s been treated like shit his whole life, yeah his grandma was there for him but even when he was a little kid those thugs were still fucking with them, trauma does crazy things to peoples minds, and at the point he got to with those thugs, jaekyung basically treats him the same way, i don’t think he thinks it’s right but i feel like he believes that’s the norm or maybe what he deserves, it’s how he’s been treated up to now, like he’s unworthy of someone loving and caring about him, so i feel he doesn’t see as much wrong with it as we the viewers do, if that makes any sense (btw this is not me arguing, just my opinion)

because people love to blame everything on jaekyung all the time. jaekyung is a massive cunt, but he's a *consistent* cunt, he's never given dan the impression that he likes him (saving dan from rapists and paying for dan's bills does NOT count) yet dan magically falls for him anyway. jk makes it very easy to hate him, and dan has a sobstory past so that means in a typical reader's eyes anything that goes wrong with dan is entirely jk's fault and dan can never be held accountable for anything. it was the same shit in bj alex. jiwon was the one who made it clear he didn't want a romantic relationship with dg, yet dg falls for him, outs his identity on live stream, then gets pissy at JIWON ??? and somehow jiwon gets blamed for everything even tho dg was such a selfish character from start to finish.
