I don’t understand she was so determined to change from her past life and now she’s becoming like her past self? It feels a bit unrealistic how she had such a change I dunno maybe I’m being too critical

I understand like we get the first time you didn’t have anybody to share your burden but now you have Marie, veramoond and everyone. Beside if she sent to be a spy, shouldn’t she alert them of what that psycho dirty emperor is planning?

I think it's more realistic this way as it's not easy to change something that already a part of u, even if u desperately try to change it. Like people trying to stop procrastinating but keep failing.

Yeah exactly like they know (veramoond etc) know she’s a double spy but now she’s like going solo

    Hello,

Giving the two cents no one asked, but I believe she's backtracking, and you can't excuse it by saying that it's hard moving forward, because no.
Every time she was backtracking she stopped herself and remembered not to be like her old self. I thought that when her friends asked her when she would crack but she didn't, when ML asked I thought she would crack she didn't, this isn't going back to old mistakes.
This is dumb, this is her deciding to betray the crown prince because she didn't believe in any of her friends, not even the red-haired one, and this will end with veramood forgiving her because it is a classic, this will end with veramood being blamed by the red-haired one by doubting her. She's just being dumb, she could have trusted the mage, her knights friends, I don't know, anything instead of hey I'm gonna become a double agent and messed everything up because I AM DUMB. Its a simple as that. Because I know backtracking, I do it as a living, but since I got friends, real friends, that became harder and harder to do. So no, for me it isn't realistic, if it was the first season? maybe, but second? nah

I feel like it was more of her not trusting herself. If she tells people, and she gets influenced by them, she thinks she wouldn't be able to do her job properly (being a spy) If shit happens, she'll obviously protect her friends but then that will signal the end of her mission. The choice of going solo, to her, is more physically safe. But, as you said, it will definitely look like she doesn't trust the others.
