Chapter 44 is flash-forward titled “Potato at 7 years old”, meanwhile present time is at 6.
this is the saddest thing i've ever heard.
Him going back to his parents for a short while isn't unusual since his parents might be looking for him or they find out his with the wolf guy since his back to being a active gang member.
He might have been separated from his mama for a year at most. I don’t think it’s feesable to say he separated with him for 10 years then reunited when he was 16 years old when his still a minor. Because we have seen flash back photos of potato older and his mama still acts like a parent whose been raising him for a very long time.
Very doubtful he was separated for more than a year if that.
I doubt teen Potato ever viewed Wolf as father, since he met him around 6 years old and got separated from him already at 7 years old. It’s ridiculously short period of time and it’s such a deep childhood. Who knows when they started to live together again( earliest we saw is 16 years old). And even after that, Potato has such a sweet mom, it’s not like he desperately need another parent figure, not anymore at least. Grown up Potato is pretty obvious about his feelings tho
