And it's such a good narrative, too! Like, og Pen's family is finally getting a taste of their own medicine. Really hated how they treated her like a thieving rat when she didn't even force herself on that family, the duke brought her!
Transmigrated Pen giving them payback is such a sight to see, she's not only living a better life for og Pen but also doing the things og Pen did that were viewed as "misbehaving" in a different way!
The way transmigrated Pen throws the bucket on the Eckart Family because she sees through their bullshit behavior is so satisfying. She's not really deviating from og Pen's narrative, she's making the Eckart Dukedom see the reality og Pen was living.
And the best of it, transmigrated Pen doesn't even excuse og Pen's (real) misbehavior! She disapproves of her brashness but also is sympathetic to her! Like, she understand why og Pen did whatever she did and at the same time, disagrees with og Pen's actions. It's such good combination compared to forgiving of Pen's actions because of her situation. It really gives both Penelope justice.
Putting aside the whole part about her adoptive brother framing her, I feel like everything the og FL lived was built on that misunderstanding that lead her to misbehave to be seen and considered and then be reprimanded, then misbehave even more leading her to have a bad reputation in the mansion, in society and being disregarded by her adoptive father and brother who just couldn't care less about her because they just assume the worst from her. And in the beginning it's pretty clear. Don't get me wrong I, in no way excuse what they did and the way the ignored and treated og FL they deserve hell for that. I just feel like new FL came with her plan and her new personality, and they all changed their perception of her and the way they treated her but since new FL have her own family trauma and know what happened to og FL she doesn't seem to be aware of the change on the family part and now she is the one assuming the worst about them hehe. Crazy how the tables have turned.
