the ex husband isn't the worst per se since he is far from an abuser and he has his own demons, but fuck is he frustrating. I read 26 manhwa chapters so far and he kept having this black and white view of the MC as if he isn't familiar with grey areas. He ends up making the right judgement most times but he jumps to condemn the MC internally. My biggest gripe with him is how he thought "yeah let me put down my own rules for this contract like us having a kid and her leaving it here when we divorce......oh no, she just fulfilled the contract and had the kid and she all of a sudden decided to leave?how dare she? how can she not want to be a mother?"
what a hypocrite! You wanted the kid, she didn't. You needed an heir and now you want her to love the child she is meant to leave?
Another cleat sign of hypocricy is him feeling sick at the idea of MC killing someone but he has murdered plenty himself when he was at war. He was like "there is no excuse" but yeah dude was chopping heads off left and right a short time ago.
I also hate how he kept from her how his mother had done one of the 3 things that MC required not to do in the contract. She cleqrly stated to never give her parents any money beyond repaying their debts but the ML'S bitch mother goes and does it anyways and then when she lets ML know, he doesn't tell MC even after she asks him if he is hiding something. This was one of the moments when he broke her trust.
It'S like every time I think "he is starting to understand her", he just messes it up.
